The science of learning plays a key role in the fields of statistics, data mining and artificial intelligence, intersecting with areas of engineering and other disciplines.
It is closely related to profound issues of how to do inference from data. The goal of this talk is to give a brief overview of what machine learning is about. In particular, we describe some kernel tricks, which have been developed in various classical algorithms. |
